sorry for the delay is responding to this TAG, but here goes:

1. What are the things you enjoy doing even when there's no one around you?

When I’m alone I like to surf the net, not friendster or chat or usual stuff like that, I like to check the limits of the internet, having been online ever since it arrived in the Philippines, I’ve seen it expand exponentially
Its nice to read about things you never thought would be interesting and having extra knowledge you never know when you might need later on.
Also I like reading about things I enjoy, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica and other movies and TV shows, online comics, news and obscure articles are another plus. Learning how to make stuff and do things also rates highly.

But for most part, I still prefer reading a good, old-fashioned printed book. If I have the time that is.

2. What lowers your stress/ blood pressure/ anxiety level?

Exercise! I used to do pushups and go biking almost daily years ago, but lately going to the gym with my sweetie and playing golf relaxes me a lot

I like to fix things, I’m good at fixing things

Sleep helps but I cant avoid feeling I’ve wasted precious hours doing something else

something that really relaxes me is watching my sweetie sleep, she’s able to sleep almost anywhere, all she needs to do is lie back on the bed or a chair and in a few seconds she’s in dreamland, its so nice to see that some people are able to use every second to rest.

Enrich your Star Wars knowledge by attending various lectures and discussion forums, ranging in topics from costuming, collecting, visual effects in film, mythology, and literature. Feast your eyes on the works of local comic book artists, sculptors, painters, and diorama makers in the Star Wars exhibit; join the on-the-spot Star Wars Art Contest; and watch as a huge Star Wars mural to be created by Alfred Galvez and other artists, unfolds before your very eyes! Star Wars is also known for its elaborate costumes, and the Convention is the perfect opportunity to wear one yourself! These groups have prepared many fun activities and performances for followers of their fandom. Attendees are in for a treat, as more groups showcase their creations in the New Worlds Fanfilm Festival. NEW WORLDS EPISODE 3: The 3rd Philippine Science Fiction & Fantasy Convention will be held on May 23 and 24 at the Glorietta Activity Center. This year's host is Star Wars Philippines, in commemmoration of the last great movie of the Star Wars saga. The event is presented by the New Worlds Alliance, Mellow Touch 94.7, and the Ayala Center.

The Empire struck back with Han Solo frozen in carbonite and Luke Skywalker's right hand floating in outer space in 1980, but Leia Organa helped Luke kick Jabba the Hutt's butt in 1983. You saw how it all began, the seeds of the dark side sown in Anakin Skywalker's soul in The Phantom Menace in 1999. The fear and the anger grow as Anakin loses control in Attack of the Clones, and still you sit, mouth agape, eyes glued to the screen as Amidala fights for her life in the arena while numerous Jedi rally to defend the free Republic from a growing threat.

Tuning Up

I don;t mind most kinds of music, except for Country, now that's downright unbearable...
I've listened to classical music to calm me down, dance music to get my blood running, rhythm and blues to get into the groove, contemporary pop to get up to speed, electronica and trance to get hyper, live music to get a life... etc etc etc

lately, i've been stuck on electronica for some strange reason, house music and trance, and other various types, it matters not who made the song, it just needs to be fast and loud, but I still find myself winding down with John Mayer Tunes at the end of the day

I love learning on my own how things work... I spend hours taking things apart and putting them back together again, more often than not, with some modifications or improvements both cosmetically and functionally.
Right now, I can probably fix anything mechanical (electronics require a bit more work but is not that hard), I've disassembled TV's, radios, car stereo systems, CD players, DVD players, phones, amplifiers, musical instruments, computer monitors, computers, laptops, PDAs, cellphones, washing machines, watches (one of the more difficult jobs) and stripped down at least two cars on my own... so sue me, I was bored.

for the past few years after I left college behind, I've fashioned myself as someone who is absolutely sure of what he's doing, or at least make it look that way, both with regards to my professional and personal life, Its been a while since I've felt unsure of anything, usually I know exactly what to do or am willing to find some way, any way, to get things done, whether its trying to solve problems (usually for other people, though) finding the right solution (or the safest), and just basically trying to help out.
I know its not my place to try and fix everything, but it just feels weird to be so helpless

my weekend was rather interesting, it started out on thursday morning when i left the office after my boss told me "the future of the company rests on my shoulders" first i had lunch with Rej, Cai and Carlo, some of the Matrix Philippines people in DLSU/CSB, very interesting conversation i should say, then i had to rush over to the domestic airport to catch my flight to Cebu for the Smart Communication's President's Cup Golf Tournament the next day, Friday, which, got rained in for the first 8 holes then blistering hot sunlight for the remainder of the tourney, and i got a slight tan heheheh

Saturday, November 15 must have been my longest day in quite a while, I woke up at 5 am to prepare all my stuff, and arriving in manila at 8 am and the rest of the day went something like this...
Cebu Airport to Manila Airport to my house, Paranaque to My Office, Makati to Antipolo to CSB, Manila to SWP Assembly, Podium to Rizal Stadium, Manila to SM Cinemas, Megamall to Matrix Bar, Makati to Giggers, Libis to Yale, Cubao to Giggers, Libis to Goodah, Libis to Marcos Highway to Edsa, Ortigas to Makati to My House, Paranaque and finally to sleep around 6 am

all in all, it was fun, but at my age, i don;t think i can keep this up for very long hehheheh

Driving Mr. Stormball

They came from a galaxy far far away, at least I think they did, no self respecting human being on earth would subject himself to this kind of humiliation by personal choice… and they called themselves… The Mighty-Meaty, Humping-Pumping, Hip-Shaking, Pelvic-Thrusting Stormballs!!! Along with other various invectives not appropriate for public consumption.

For the past months, I’ve been summarily “employed” as their official chauffer when they have a performance, I need to bring them their helmets, their spandex and their getaway vehicle, just in case the fans degenerate into an unruly mob… all they provide is pure, raw, animal sex appeal.
This stint began last March at the First Philippine Science Fiction and Fantasy Convention, more affectionately known as the New Worlds Convention, then hosted by the Star Trek Group, who themselves declined to comment on the immediate popularity of the stripped down Storm Troopers.
Me, having nothing better to do, and needing the money, reluctantly accepted the job ferrying the ‘Balls to their gigs in the future.
On some days, I still regret making that decision, having no excuse but the feeble, “I was young, I was experimenting! It was all about the money, the fame, the women…”
I still feel myself sobbing quietly at night, thinking ‘what have I done?’
little did I know that the Stormballs were so much more than that

Recently, they had a performance during the Cosplay Party in Brannigan’s, again, my services were required for them to make their usual dramatic entrance, the overly enthusiastic Stormball Big, the sexually energetic and newly promoted Captain Stormball One-Size-Fits-All and the insufferably enigmatic Papa-Ball clad in their trademark black and white, while the intimidating visage of the Great Darth Ball, Dark Lord of the Dance, towered over the troopers, as they began their performance, individually, they are a force to be reckoned with, together, their presence is… overwhelming.
The ‘Balls had chosen this event to debut their latest routine, along with new music and updated dance moves, they filled the room with testosterone, bringing the audience to their feet and eventually to their knees. The show culminated in Darth Ball’s solo performance of the now infamous “otso-otso” which, I’ve heard, he learned straight from the performers who first made this dance famous, the Sex Bomb Girls, how he accomplished this, is a mystery, just like their identities.

To the world at large, the Stormballs have a legacy to uphold, they embody the essence of what it is we all would love to do, yet are incapable of doing, it is our inhibitions, brought about by society, or fear of religious persecution, or just plain Fear that keeps us in check. Perhaps we all should take a page from their book and let loose, take a chance, and let your inner Pelvic-Thruster out.

To the ‘Balls, though I am not and may never be one of you, I am honored to bask in your greatness… you are truly the Ultimate Sci-Fi Fantasy

For years, I've always felt that the world is moving so fast, technology improves at an unbelievable pace, cultures adapt to develop a new outlook, people move on to better, or worse things than ever before...
and through all these changes... I've felt like i've been standing still

I’ve always liked pets, I’ve had one or more kinds for as long as I can remember… pet dogs, pet cats, pet hamsters, pet fish, pet sea monkeys, pet rock, pet names

The other day, I picked up a new responsibility, otherwise known as felis domesticus, a friend has already affectionately named her ‘Jade’ for her large expressive eyes. She’s currently socializing with my other pets, but so far, its been strained.

it seems i haven't updated my Blog in a while...

some people confuse Disturbing Mental Pictures with Disgusting Mental Pictures, those are two totally different animals, mind you
personally, i prefer the Former type, its a lot more fun and practically anyone can be disgusting, but it takes a certain skill to make someone mentally disturbed...

on the other hand, i'm considering reformatting this Blog into something more conventional... like most people who put their own thoughts into words for the whole of the World Wide Web to see, as far as Google can reach and as broad as your band can go... come to think of it, there is nothing that is more Disturbing than what goes on inside my brain.

you can't get much more disturbing pictures than the fact that i might be appearing on television for the third time this year, thanks to some friends from Digital Tour, a technology show on local channel Studio 23, i'm going to be interviewed today Saturday, July 5, Manila time, possibly for a future episode. Hmmm my dilemma is whether i should emulate Master Yoda's MTV awards acceptance speech or gollum's, now if only i could find my gollum costume, which is actually composed of a couple of sheets of used toilet tissue and dental floss.
